Starting the New Year

4th January 2019

We've spent the quieter days of the festive season mulling over the #HelpAndKindness project and sharing ideas about it with friends and family. Along with the enthusiasm and encouragement we've received in response, we've also been wrestling with the thornier issues of how to create a project that is viable in terms of finance and operation. We've delved into the far corners of all sorts of commercial, not-for-profit, charitable and informal options, to see how we can best provide the structure that's needed without compromising on the project's flexibility and responsiveness. We think we might have a solution and are now speaking to the experts to check it is going to work.

Along with these admin issues we've also been spending time on social media and searching the internet for people that we'd like to invite to get involved in the project. Our Twitter followers are growing, and the encouragement from retweets and replies has been wonderful.

Exciting Milestones

In the next 2 months we're planning to get the first stage of the project up and running, displaying simple directory listings on the website and mapping their locations. We hope that this will start to show the practical benefits of getting involved, and inspire people to get in touch with us. We're also working on those business issues too, and hope to have a clear path defined by February too.

If you'd like to get in touch and find out more we'd love to hear from you. You can email us at

We'll keep adding further information as we progress.

Here's to a very Happy New Year!
