WE ARE RECRUITING
A Part Time Project Lead to set up a Community Grocery in Blandford
20 hrs per week (with potential to increase) - £10.50/hr, plus 6% employer contribution to pension
An initial one-year contract (with 3 months’ probation)
Do you want to support people to get out of crisis?
Are you well organised and want a new challenge?
Are you able to work alone as well as part of a team?
Our purpose is simple: to open a community ‘grocery’ in Blandford, linked to the food bank which will sell good quality, nutritious food to families and individuals with limited disposable income, at a significantly discounted price. The Grocery will provide not only the next stage on from the foodbank, but also link into the existing wide range of expert support, skills for life, and place of community that BFB+ is building.
The initial purpose of this post is to plan, prepare and launch a community grocery in Blandford United Reformed Church, working closely with the existing foodbank. It is envisaged that the post will then develop into the Grocery Manager and that the hours will increase as the grocery opens.
