Sounds Better CIC’s new training opportunity in the Salisbury area in Working Musically Alongside People with Dementia

14th February 2023

Hello friends and colleagues

I’d like to share Sounds Better CIC’s new training opportunity in the Salisbury area in Working Musically Alongside People with Dementia.

Taking place face to face over 4 days in the Salisbury area from March - September 2023 the course will take participants from an introductory level to more advanced skills and ideas, including planning and reflecting models. Attendees will be able to implement activities and ideas immediately, developing over time, finishing with working directly with a group of people with dementia, and connecting with others in the field.

It is suitable for anyone working with or caring for people with dementia in any capacity who wants to introduce and/or develop their musical work as part of their role (e.g. musicians, OTs, artists, therapists, care and activity workers etc).

The first three days can also be booked as standalone training days, but at least one other training day must be attended to be able to access the final day in September.

More information on each of the days can be found here and more information about Sounds Better’s work can be found on our website https://soundsbettercic.org

I hope you can share this opportunity with your networks and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warmest wishes

Liv
