Would you like to help us, and our partners, to work with local ethnically diverse community (EDC) groups to be stronger, thriving and more sustainable?
You’ll be joining at an exciting time as we work with our partners (Dorset REC, Dorset Community Foundation and BCP Council) who have successfully attracted funding from the National Lottery Community Fund for three years to help develop the local EDC sector.
We’re looking for an experienced project manager to assist our Senior Advisor in managing this project. Your main responsibility will be to line manage a team of workers who will engage and work with local EDC groups to build their capacity through developing their leadership, governance, volunteering, fundraising, communications and networking. The team will initially be employed by CAN but seconded to Dorset REC. You will also assist in promotion, partnership development, stakeholder engagement, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
About you
You will have relevant experience of ethnically diverse communities. With successful experience of staff, team and project management.
You will be committed to empowering groups and inclusion. With excellent interpersonal skills with empathy and a willingness to engage. Also a passion to succeed and to take others with you.
What we can offer in return
In return we offer a competitive salary and great benefits, including contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday (pro-rata) plus all bank holidays, season train ticket loan, flexible working and much more.
