Nominations for the Dorset Volunteer Celebration Evening 2024 are now open!

Volunteer Centre Dorset are excited to announce that nominations for the Volunteer Celebration Evening 2024 are now open!

The Volunteer Celebration Evening will take place on Friday 1^st November in Dorchester.

We would love to see the amazing people who have volunteered throughout Dorset this year.  If you know a volunteer or a volunteering team in the Dorset Council area who deserves recognition at our celebration evening, please nominate them in one of the following categories:

Young Volunteers of the Year
Nominate an amazing young person (aged under 25) for their volunteering contribution.

Volunteers of the Year
Nominate a volunteer from your organisation or someone you know who is deserving of this recognition.

Teams of the Year
Do you know a team, group or organisation who do amazing voluntary work?

Andy Jacobs Award for Wellbeing and Mental Health in Volunteering
This is a new category recognising teams, groups or individuals who support mental health and wellbeing in their groups and communities and/or those for whom volunteering has improved their own mental health. Whether you know someone who has overcome challenges though volunteering or if you know an individual or team who support mental health in their teams and communities, this new category will highlight the wonderful impact they have in the volunteering world.

If you would like to make a nomination for one or more of the above categories, please complete the relevant form(s) using the link above by Friday 27^th September 2024. Spaces are limited, so please get your nominations in as soon as possible.

We are keen to hear about people and groups who have not previously been nominated, especially young volunteers. Please ensure forms are completed in full with the correct contact details for the nominee. All nominees will be contacted by Volunteer Centre Dorset prior to the event.

Please contact us if your organisation would like to attend the Celebration Evening in Dorchester to support your nominee. Due to the popularity of this event, we may need to limit the number of guests attending from each organisation.
