Could you be a Dorset Volunteer Ambassador?
Do you have any spare time between mid-June and September?
Do you know your local area well and could you welcome visitors?
This summer, Volunteer Ambassadors will be a welcoming face for visitors across Dorset. Ambassadors will greet visitors and provide local information on services and facilities including parking, restrooms, places of interest, and daily events. Ideally Ambassadors will be volunteers from the local community and will share their wealth of local knowledge with visitors. Full training, uniform and support will be provided.
The programme will begin in some locations from the 12th June, running until the end of September. Ambassadors will work in pairs for shifts of 3-4 hours, and some locations will require Ambassadors seven days a week. Ambassadors will be available to sign up for and manage their own shifts once they have completed their registration and induction. Anyone aged from 16 years and over can apply, and we ask all volunteers to commit to a minimum of ten shifts across the programme.
