New Community Front Room Opening In Weymouth Today

17th June 2021

Today is the opening today of a fourth Community Front Room mental health drop-in service in Weymouth, adding to the family of existing CFRs across Dorset in Bridport, Shaftesbury and Wareham.

The CFRs are accessible to anyone aged 18 or over who needs support if they are feeling stressed, anxious or depressed. The new CFR is located at 56 St Mary’s Street in Weymouth and is open between 3.15-10.45pm, Thursday to Sunday. It will be managed by BCHA’s Senior Practitioner Wendy Thompson and staffed by experienced mental health professionals and peer support workers.

Wendy and her team are looking forward to making a difference to the lives of others:

“We recognise that coming out of lockdown can be just as challenging as being in lockdown. The Community Front Room is here to offer a safe, welcoming, non-judgemental and confidential space where people can talk to us and find the solutions to help them on the path to recovery.”

No appointment is required, you can simply drop-in. Or if you prefer to speak to someone virtually, use the Attend Anywhere link:
